ABOUT KNOCKOUT EVENTS
In the spring of 1992, Shane Swartz had his first Fight Night in his parents back yard in Fort Collins, CO. His junior year in High School he was able to get his event in USA TODAY-Backyard Classics and the following year Sports Illustrated published an article of his event. Swartz, an accomplished amateur boxer who earn 6 National Titles and a professional boxer who ended his career ranked #14 in the World by the IBF, saw this as a way to entertain friends, as well as, start his own business.
In early 2002, Shane and his brother-in-law created a fully adjustable boxing ring and decided to take his show on the road. He purchased a truck and a trailer (much more convenient that his U-Haul he used to have to rent) and started to pursue his dream of taking FIGHT NIGHT across the country.
He has now expanded his business to over 12 different states and 102 different cities. July 2005 he went to pick up his truck and trailer from his storage locker and the trailer was missing. It had been stolen. He thus shut down the business and spent the last couple of years trying to get the capitol to restart the business. He is slowly accomplishing this and hopes to bring FIGHT NIGHT to your town.
